Specialty Cat & Dog Surgery in Central Florida

If your dog or cat needs any surgery other than a spay or neuter, Planned Pethood is equipped and staffed to perform various specialty procedures to improve your pet’s quality of life. These surgeries range from cat and dog tumor removals to ear hematoma repairs, pyometra, and bladder stone removals. Our clinics offer dedicated surgical suites with the latest equipment and pain management options to ensure the most comfortable, low-stress experience.

After Surgery Care

We understand how important post-operative care is for your pet's recovery. Here's how we help them heal comfortably and quickly.

  • Laser Treatment (available at our Wesley Chapel and Lake Panasoffkee locations): Laser therapy speeds up the healing process and reduces inflammation by stimulating cell regeneration and increasing blood circulation.
  • Additional Pain Meds: We provide pain medication for about five days after surgery to ensure your pet remains comfortable.
  • E-Collar/Bodysuit: A plastic or inflatable e-collar or bodysuit prevents your pet from licking or biting at their incision, promoting a quicker recovery.
  • Calming Meds: Calming medications can help your pet stay relaxed during their recovery.
  • Anti-Nausea Injection: An anti-nausea injection can prevent discomfort and vomiting after surgery.

For cat and dog surgery at Planned Pethood, you can count on our caring team to provide your pet with the best possible care. Walk in for a wellness exam from 9:30 am-2 pm at our Wesley Chapel, Zephyrhills, or Lake Panasoffkee location so we can go over your pet's surgical needs and take the next steps toward a healthier, happier life for them.
